Declaration of Independence

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all [humans] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The declaration of independence was a turning point—a symbol of American pioneers becoming sovereign.
The forefathers and natives would not have ever imagined the United States would become what it is today. Lots of good parts, of course, but at the same time, lots of disappointing parts.
But we can be the change we wish to see in the world both individually and along with our communities. How would you write your declaration of independence?  What are your self-evident truths?
